Just a few highlights from the speech:
1) Your booth should tell the attendee who you are and what you do in 3 seconds.
2) Opening lines: Instead of May I help you?" try "What attracted you to our booth?" Let the person talk. In fact, let 'em talk up a storm--right through the first 30 seconds. After 30 seconds to a minute, when a bond is created, reach for a pad or note paper. Don't be afraid to ask questions.
3) Arrive early in order to have enough time to set-up your table.
Some of the people who we ran into at the luncheon were Christina Zila, Branch Office Manager of Textbroker, Timothy Carvalho of Carvalho Creative, and Alex Alexander, Wholesale Asset Manager of Money Source Investments.
