On Tuesday, December 8, the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce Women of Action presented the "Toys For Joy" Holiday Mixer. The mixer was held at the festively decorated Old World Village Festival Hall and featured impressionist Bethany Owens as Marilyn Monroe and silhouette drawings by "Sylhouette's by Sylvia" as entertainment.
Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted everybody who walked through the doors, adding to the mood of holiday cheer. In addition, an auction featuring prizes from Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa, the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, and Mama's Cucina Italiana From Pala Casino & Resort helped liven up the night even more. Not to mention, attendees had the chance to win a variety of donated raffle drawings.
The mixer not only successfully collected many toys to be donated to children, but also raised donations for Project Self-Sufficiency, the Huntington Beach Therapeutic Riding Center, Huntington Beach Community Clinic, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused & neglected children).
We'd like to give a special thanks to Linda of the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce for making this event possible. We look forward to the next one!
