Annual Orange County Business Networking Mixer/Expo Increases in Number of Exhibitors and Attendees Over Prior Year

Business Professionals From All Over Southern California Use Orange County's Largest Mixer as Tool to Bring in More Contacts and Business Leads.

The 6th annual Orange County's Largest Mixer drew nearly 3,500 participants, a 15 percent increase from 2008, in what many consider the most well attended networking event in the region. Over 340 businesses exhibited in various industries ranging from finance to hospitality, education to media. The event was held March 11, 2009 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California.

"All three of the Largest Mixer Events that we've participated in have been tremendous," commented Brian Montoya of All Pro Displays & Graphics, LLC. "The contacts that we've made and the ability to show ourselves to other local businesses has just been terrific!"

Each year, the Mixer hopes to help encourage membership in one or several chambers of commerce, allowing a synergistic partnership to be created. Businesses are then able to extend their networks, foster new relationships, and boost their client base.

"Orange County's Largest Mixer has been a magnificent addition to our Chamber's schedule of events," said Nancy Tilove, Vice President, Member Services for the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. "Over the past 4 years while participating as a sponsor, we have had so many new businesses learn about our chamber through the OC Mixer."

Orange County's Largest Mixer VI is hosted by the following organizations:

Chambers of Commerce: Anaheim, Black Chamber, Brea, Buena Park, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, Fountain Valley, Garden Grove, Hispanic, Huntington Beach, Irvine, Laguna Niguel, Newport Beach, Orange, Placentia, Santa Ana, South County Regional, Stanton, Tustin, and Westminster.

Business Organizations: American Business Women's Association, American Marketing Association-OC, Anaheim/Orange County Visitor & Convention Bureau, National Association of Women Business Owners-OC, National Latina Business Women Association OC, and Newport Beach Conference and Visitors Bureau.

Orange County's Largest Mixer is an annual event that brings together local business organizations and Orange County's area chambers of commerce for an evening of professional networking and business outreach. An off-shoot from the original event -- L.A.'s Largest Mixer -- now in its 11th year, the event's format has been reproduced in other regions, including Las Vegas and the Inland Empire. The event is produced by The Dave Linden Group, Inc.

Magnificent Mardi Gras Business Expo hosted by the Whittier Chamber of Commerce.

The Largest Mixer attended the Whittier Chamber "Mardi Gras Expo" held at the Whittier Radisson Hotel. As soon as you walked in, you felt as if you had walked out of Southern California and straight into New Orleans!  With beads being streamed around our neck, the Largest Mixer went into action. With over 120 businesses on display in 3 different areas, you didn't know where to start!

First, RMH Dance Sport Center took us off our feet with a free salsa dancing lesson. Then, away we went to the Mission Court Salon & Spa where they were giving away 10-minute massages given by Mark Villalobos. If that didn't get you going, we stopped by Cio Italia Panni Grill where we dined on some of his delicious pannis. We also talked with Gabriel Gastelum of Gabriel Plumbing, Martha Bonilla of PALS, Pamela Rivera of The Traveling Traveler, Deborah Duran-Wade of Rio Hondo College, Mona Quiroz of Access to Travel, Mike Wilson of Harrison Electric, and Benjamin Pongetti of City of Whittier.

Much thanks goes to the Whittier Chamber and the Radisson Hotel for putting on such a lovely event. Can't wait to see what you do next year.
