West Hollywood Chamber's Mixer at The Pleasure Chest

West Hollywood Chamber threw their April Mixer last night at The Pleasure Chest, a landmark business on Santa Monica Blvd., and it was a pleasure! The business folks we met and reconnected with were a group of shining faces eager to make new connections and learn about each other's line of work.

We thank the fabulous Dominique Williams for actively promoting L.A.'s Largest Mixer®. The Mixer was very hip, from the O.N.E. sponsored trendy water boxes, to the very unique give-away bags we were sent home with.

It's wonderful having chambers like West Hollywood that enthusiastically support the eclectic businesses serving their community. Thanks to the chamber for their great photos!

Venice Chamber Mixer Unwinds at Creative Chakra Spa

The Venice Chamber met for their April Mixer at a relaxing oceanside spot: Creative Chakra Spa, California's leading Holistic Spa.

The Spa is complete with a yoga studio, aromatherapy store, & a tea lounge with an ocean view. Special suites such as the Bamboo Suite, Chi Suite, Garden Suite & Zen Suite provide the ideal environment for yoga, events, & workshops.

Members and guests were welcomed to a full tour of this sought after sanctuary. It was a great night of networking and community at the Venice Chamber Mixer. Be a part of the soul of Los Angeles, the Venice Chamber.

NAWBO's "Amazing Women of the Inland Empire"

Last night was NAWBO's "Amazing Women of the Inland Empire" 7th Annual Dinner Celebration. The organizer of the event was President Gwen Thibeaux, also recipient of the Anita Award. Dr. Leticia S. Wright, D.C. of "The Wright Place TV Show," hosted the evening with grace.

We were there to support our good friend Cindy Carpenter of BAE Systems, nominee for the Community Bridge Builder Award, and we were happy to bump into Kelli Holmes of TEAM Referral Network, who was also nominated for the Business Woman of the Year Award.

We were also happy to see past President of NAWBO, Ursula Mentjes, who has also been a long-time supporter of Largest Mixer®.

We are honored to support the women of NAWBO in their achievements. Thanks to the following event sponsors, who are also friends of Largest Mixer®: IEWBC, Doubletree Hotel, Union Bank, & Anthem Blue Cross.

LA Area Chamber's Referral Network Breakfast.

We spent the morning at Los Angeles Area Chamber's Referral Network Breakfast.
Claudia Shah of EE Connections LLC, was the featured speaker, addressing the topic of "Recruiting Tips to Protect Your Business." The rest of the time we spent networking with the other folks who attended. The Referral Network is a great forum for members to help grow their business. Check out their next one.

West LA Chamber's Sunny Business Expo

We enjoyed the beautiful Sunday weather last weekend outdoors at the West LA Chamber's Business Expo.

It was held in conjunction with the Annual Brentwood Art Festival. Keep up-to-date with all the Chamber's events by visiting their website.

Congrats to John Slowick for all his hard work!

Team Referral Network's 2010 Member Event

Team Referral Network, a long-time Largest Mixer® friend and exhibitor, provided us with a great day of networking with gifts, door prizes, giveaways, and a gourmet lunch overlooking the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains at the world class Santa Anita Park.

The crowd enjoyed networking exercises and a panel of business experts. Panelist and Social Media Rock Star, Sabrina Gibson, informed the group with her, secrets, insights, expertise, on the exploding Social Networking Phenomenon. Marketing and Sales Gurus, Adam Urbanski and Eric Lofholm, motivated us and shared their tools of success for today's business climate. Memory Trainer, Chuck Douglas wowed the crowd on how to tap into the brain's stored memory for better business.

Definitely one of the friendliest bunch of people I've ever met. Please visit the Team Referral Network
website for events in both Los Angeles and Orange County.

Century City Chamber Tax Relief Mixer

Last night's
Century City Chamber Mixer at the Westside Tavern was a classy evening, and a nice way to wind down from the April tax season. A nice intimate crowd joined me for delicious flatbreads, drawings, and a silent auction.

The chef came out to greet us and explain the Tavern's mission of providing quality dining at an affordable price. Later they had us play a networking game, where we drew two business cards from a bowl and spent the rest of the evening looking for the people we chose. We had already made the rounds so that we'd already met the two we choose. Nevertheless it was a wonderful idea to get others to mix around and meet new business friends.

Financial Advisor, Paul Chau of SEIA, was the featured business owner, below pictured with his lovely team.

Orange County's Best Attended Business Networking Event of It's Kind

The 7th annual Orange County's Largest Mixer® drew over 3,200 participants in what many consider the most well attended networking event in the region. Over 320 businesses exhibited in various industries ranging from finance to hospitality, education to media. The event was held March 24, 2010 at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California.

“This is my sixth year participating in OC’s Largest Mixer®. We just love this event. It gives us an opportunity to get out and help change perceptions and what they think they know about Goodwill,” commented Doug Wooley of Goodwill. “We'll just keep coming back because we're big supporters and we really believe in what the Largest Mixer® does.”

Each year, the Mixer hopes to help encourage membership in one or several chambers of commerce, allowing a synergistic partnership to be created. Businesses are then able to extend their networks, foster new relationships, and boost their client base.

“We get a ton of people interested in membership at the Irvine Chamber because we do so much integration and networking. We probably obtained 20 to 25 new members, from being a part of the Largest Mixer®,” said Kim Sherman of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce. “We had hundreds of people that stopped by our booth here at the Mixer.”

Congratulations to the three winners of our business card draw: William Schultz of Madison & Co. won a two night stay at The Avi Resort & Casino. Rosalie Gonzales won a one night stay in a luxurious Marina View room at the Inn at Playa del Rey, and Misty White won court-side tickets to see the Los Angeles Clippers. Congratulations!
