On Sunday, December 13, Trade American Card (who, by the way, is a long time supporter of the Largest Mixer) presented the 2009 Annual Holiday Barter Expo. Held at the Grove of Anaheim, the expo was a fantastic opportunity to network with other business owners, expand markets, and increase profits. Photo opportunities with Santa Claus and a great selection of food also made the expo family friendly by creating an atmosphere of holiday cheer. Just a few of the exhibitors in attendance were American First Credit Union, Australian Swim Schools, Century 21, Orange County Entrepreneur Society, and the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce.

On Tuesday, December 8, the Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce Women of Action presented the "Toys For Joy" Holiday Mixer. The mixer was held at the festively decorated Old World Village Festival Hall and featured impressionist Bethany Owens as Marilyn Monroe and silhouette drawings by "Sylhouette's by Sylvia" as entertainment.
Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted everybody who walked through the doors, adding to the mood of holiday cheer. In addition, an auction featuring prizes from Glen Ivy Hot Springs Spa, the Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach, and Mama's Cucina Italiana From Pala Casino & Resort helped liven up the night even more. Not to mention, attendees had the chance to win a variety of donated raffle drawings.
The mixer not only successfully collected many toys to be donated to children, but also raised donations for Project Self-Sufficiency, the Huntington Beach Therapeutic Riding Center, Huntington Beach Community Clinic, and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates for abused & neglected children).

On Monday, December 7, 2009, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce presented its annual Holiday Celebration Mixer & Toy Drive. Held at The Music Box @ Fonda, the celebration featured a wide selection of delectable food with a perfect holiday ambiance to match. The Holiday Mixer provided Chamber members the opportunity to share the joy of the season by bringing a new, unwrapped toy (or appropriate gift) valued at $10 or more in lieu of an admission fee. The collected items will be distributed through the Los Angeles Police Department's (Hollywood Division) toy drive.Janel Dreeka, Sales Representative of The Wall Street Journal, Bryan John Knight, Assistant Vice President of Union Bank, and Mary Fenstermacher, Director of Fund Development of Hollygrove were just a few of the people that we bumped into at the mixer.
Thanks to the Hollywood Chamber for hosting such a festive event. It was a terrific way to ring in the holiday season and we look forward to the next!
The Stanton Chamber of Commerce presented its Holiday Luncheon Extravaganza on Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Held at the Stanton Civic Center, the event was a fantastic way to usher in the holidays. Not only was the event catered with an assortment of delicious food, it also featured Dickens costumed carolers and special raffle gifts to bring even more excitement to the extravaganza. Just a few of the people we ran into at the luncheon were Marc S. On December 9, 2009, the Orange Chamber of Commerce presented "Holiday Meet and Greet" in the William and Willa Dean Lyon Conference Center at Chapman University. The event was held in honor of the policemen and firemen of Orange. On top of a great turn out, the meet and greet featured door prizes, a silent auction, and a variety of delicious food.Just a few of the people who we ran into at the event were Trisha Throop, Community Relations and Environmental Compliance Supervisor of CR&R, Mark Chew, Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager of Smith Barney, and Scot Proud, Vice President of Farmers & Merchants Bank.We'd like to give a special thanks to Heidi and her staff for throwing such a fantastic event. Yesterday, the Buena Park Area Chamber of Commerce held their 19th Annual Holiday Party and Taste of Buena Park at the Holiday Inn & Conference Center in Buena Park.
It was a festive occasion all around with delicious food from local restaurants, caroling strollers from the Orange High School Chamber Singers and flowers and decorations which gave the banquet hall a feeling of holiday cheer. It was complete with an ice sculpture provided by Tyler Mortensen of A-American Self Storage. Even Snoopy from Knott's Berry Farm was in attendance to enjoy the event. Everyone was given the opportunity to take a photo with Snoopy in his holiday attire.

A live auction and drawing was held during the night with Dr. Steve Smith lending his voice as the auctioneer. Some items that were auctioned off were a lunch with Chief Monson of the Buena Park Police Department, 3 nights at a Sierra Nevada fishing resort provided by Smith Chiropatric, and a Golf foursome provided by Los Coyotes Country Club. Many people came home with some exciting prizes from the opportunity drawing which included a Photosmart A646 Photo Printer from American First Credit Union and two tickets for Peter Pan at O.C. Pavilion from Chris and Art Brown.
Buena Park Area Chamber of Commerce held a successful and joyous night. We will definitely be there again next year for their Annual holiday Party!
